It was an honour to be invited to perform and host at Kensai Kitchen‘s first branch opening in Singapore. My keyboardist and I performed a selection of Japanese classics and English jazz tunes while the media tucked in.
I had no idea, but Kensai Kitchen is a big name in Japan; as the Managing Director of Kensai Kitchen Singapore said in his speech, “It is as close to authentic Japanese home cooking that you can get, outside of a Japanese family home. To the best of our knowledge, it is the only such buffet in Singapore.”
I was curious about the food. When I finally tucked in after the performance, my keyboardist and I were raving non-stop in between bites. My favourite is the Yakisoba. It is such a great surprise. This is just part of the spread:
